SINGAPORE: New private home sales in the Republic jumped 83 per cent in April from March as developers launched new units and buyers returned to the market.
Data from the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) on Friday (May 15) showed developers sold 1,124 housing units last month - well above the 613 units sold in March and 390 units in February. Developers launched 1,344 units in April, up from 400 in March.
April's sales were the highest since May 2014, when developers sold 1,488 units.
The top selling development was North Park Residences in Yishun, which sold 486 units.
Including executive condominiums or ECs, sales by developers rose to 1,218 units in April from 692 units in March.
